For a DARE project for Foundations of Library and Information Science, Laura, Dahee, Jessica, Nelly, and Kim decided to fight common stereotypes of librarians. People think we’re boring, old-fashioned, wear glasses and cardigans, and SHHHHHH!

Librarians are diverse, involved, and, wait for it, interesting human beings. So we started a website in order to fight the stereotypes that librarians face in the public. We contacted different types of librarians, and asked them what they do in their spare time and at work.

We hope you, the viewer of this website, no longer think of us as musty, old and irrelevant (even though some of us do wear glasses and cardigans).
